AI Transparency

• Our AI uses a generative image model fine-tuned on stylized, GTA VI-inspired visuals. It takes your photo as input and recreates it in the visual language of Vice City - same lighting and composition, reimagined in key art style.
• The AI does not recognize, identify, or store any biometric information from uploaded photos.
• Your uploaded images are never used to train or improve the model. Processing happens in memory only, and images are deleted immediately after generation.
• The underlying model is powered by Google's Gemini API. Images are transmitted to Google solely to perform the transformation, then discarded. See Google AI Terms of Service for their data handling policies.

• All results produced by Vice Lab are AI-generated content. This disclosure is required under Article 50 of the EU AI Act, applicable from August 2026.
• Free-tier results include a visible watermark identifying them as AI-generated, in compliance with EU AI Act transparency obligations.
• Paid results (Pack S, Pack L, Pro) are watermark-free but remain AI-generated content. Users are responsible for disclosing the AI origin of results when required by applicable law or platform policies.
• C2PA metadata embedding (a technical standard for content authenticity) is on our roadmap and will be implemented ahead of the August 2026 deadline.

The following types of content are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate access termination:

• Any content involving minors in inappropriate contexts.
• Non-consensual deepfakes or realistic impersonations of real, identifiable individuals.
• Explicit sexual content, graphic violence, or illegal material.
• Discriminatory content targeting individuals or groups.

Our AI provider (Google Gemini) applies its own safety filters in addition to our moderation layer. Requests that pass our filters but violate Google's policies will also be refused.

• Images processed in memory - never written to disk or stored in a database.
• No facial recognition or biometric profiling is performed.
• No images are shared with third parties other than Google (for generation).
• Free users: no personal data collected beyond a localStorage counter.
• Paid users: email address stored securely via Supabase (EU region) to manage credits.
